SOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into multiple trees in Spotsylvania County.
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 6, in the 5800 block of Stubbs Bridge Road.
There, deputies learned that a 65-year-old man was operating a 2018 Harley-Davidson when it ran off the road and hit several trees.
The operator, Robert Waltz, of Spotsylvania, died at the scene.
Details about what caused the fatal crash remain limited and are under investigation by the Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
