An influencer, known as Mara online, shared that Child Protective Services has closed a case weeks after her 2-year-old drowned in a pool — then recovered.
“I just got a letter from CPS. For those that don’t know, at the end of July, my 2-year-old daughter drowned. She thankfully lived and was resuscitated and everything but that happened and a CPS case was opened,” Mara said in a Sunday, September 7, TikTok video. “It’s been about six weeks that we’ve had CPS in our lives.”
Mara turned the camera around to share the envelope of the CPS letter, explaining that the note said the accusation was “neglectful supervision.” She alleged that the finding for the case was “unable to determine” and it has now been closed.
