The National Weather Service is surveying damage in Holden and other parts of Massachusetts to assess if a tornado touched down over the weekend.

The clean up has been underway for two days now in Holden after a severe storm hit on Saturday. NWS said on Sunday that radar confirmed a tornado, but they will need to assess the damage on-site to give it an EF rating and to determine the path length and path width.

Whatever the final ranking, the storm left a mess. One homeowner describes hearing the moment pieces of a tree came down on his house.

“It was a big thud, it really was big. Again I put my hands up. I thought everything was going to collapse," Dennis Landry told NBC10 Boston.
