A fire broke out in an apartment in the Sawtelle section of Los Angeles Monday, but no injuries were reported.

The fire was reported about 9:50 a.m. in a two-story row of apartments in the 2400 block of South Corinth Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Smoke was reported to be coming from the second floor and firefighters coordinated roof and interior operations to keep the blaze from spreading from the apartment where it started.

Firefighters put the blaze out in 22 minutes, according to LAFD spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.

City Department of Transportation personnel was summoned for traffic control and the Los Angeles Police Department provided crowd control.
