A Crown Point resident selected by Gov. Mike Braun for a $275,000 a year cabinet post overseeing Indiana's public safety and homeland security programs left her job this weekend with no public explanation for her departure.
The Republican governor announced the exit of Jennifer-Ruth Green, his secretary of public safety , in a brief post on X/Twitter shortly before 8 p.m. Region time Saturday.
Braun thanked Green for serving in his cabinet during "a transformative time in Indiana's history", and he wished her "the best of luck on her next endeavor."
He also named Anthony Scott, Indiana State Police superintendent, to Green's former cabinet post.
Green, the author of the book, "People Don't Quit Their Jobs; They Quit Their Bosses," responded the next day with a post th
