HOLDEN, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - New information out of Worcester County, where we’re following developments after a tornado touched down in Holden during Saturday’s storm.
The preliminary report from the National Weather Service is that it was an EF-1 tornado that touched down in Paxton lifted then touched down again in Holden. We are still waiting on a full report from the National Weather service as they continue to survey damage in the area.
Our Western Mass News crew decided to head to that neighborhood to see for ourselves. They saw many trees down mainly on willow brook, as well as at homes along bailey road, with crews working around the clock to remove them. We can also tell you that a shed at one house was damaged, while another fell through a fence at another home’s backyard pool.
