BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) - An arson investigation is underway in Boardman following a vehicle fire.

Boardman police and fire were called about 1:30 a.m. Saturday to the 5200 block of Southern Boulevard, where they found a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu in flames.

A woman who called 911 said she heard a loud bang, and when she looked out the window, the car was on fire in the driveway.

The owner of the car arrived at the scene and confirmed that the vehicle was his.

Nearby surveillance video showed someone walking away from the car after it caught fire, and that person's clothes appeared to have caught fire as well.

Police and a K-9 searched the area for a burn victim, but no one was found. They also called local hospitals to see if anyone showed up with burns, but that didn't turn up anything eit
