ONEIDA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- After standing strong for over 100 years, the Oneida Baptist Church is in need of repairs.

They're just now getting underway. But they still need some help before winter starts.

Every Monday is a reminder for Pastor Terrance Brown that there's still a lot to fix up at his church.

"We have a 137-year-old building here and we are trying to keep it standing, basically," he said.

On the outside of the church, Brown said the masonry is crumbling.

"Bricks are popping out, the faces of bricks are popping off," he said. "This is due to the hard winters we have up here."

Inside, the walls and floors are being fixed up after flooding damage more than a decade ago.

"We've been working on the trim along the bottom of the church here where we can reach ourselves," Brown
