KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City woman who police were questioning about a potential theft is now charged with assaulting an officer.

Court documents filed Monday in Jackson County revealed charges of felony stealing and misdemeanor assault against a special victim for Heaven Richardson.

Richardson is accused of stealing a bounce house and a generator that she rented in June.

Kansas City, Missouri Police Department officers said they were called to a residence on Sept. 4 for a disturbance. There, they found Richardson and a man who said the bounce house he rented in June to Richardson was seen on Facebook Marketplace.

The man said he set up a meeting with Richardson to buy back his belongings and confirmed when he arrived that she was the same person he had rented to in June.
