Cato, N.Y. ― Federal prosecutors plan to hold a news conference Tuesday to discuss the raid of a food processing plant in Cayuga County last week.

The announcement of the news conference to be held in Albany Tuesday morning said the raid was part of a “worksite enforcement action.”

The news release also said federal officials plan to “warn employers across the Northern District of New York that they risk criminal investigation if they are employing non-citizens who are not authorized to work in the United States.”

The owners of the business raided, Nutrition Bar Confectioners in Cato, have not been charged as of Monday.
