Glasgow road closed after 'multiple people take unwell' as public asked to avoid area

A road in Glasgow is locked down after reports of a group of people taking unwell. ‌

Police rushed to an incident on Cambridge Street at around 8pm on Monday evening. ‌

It is unclear what the exact circumstances behind the emergency road closure but the public have been asked to avoid the area. ‌

There is understood to be no risk to the wider public.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Cambridge Street in Glasgow is closed at Cowcaddens following a report of a group of people having taken unwell around 8.10pm on Monday, 8 September, 2025. ‌

"Enquiries are ongoing and there is no risk to the wider public. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area."
