Americans’ positive views of capitalism hit a new low, while Democrats’ support for socialism grows
A new Gallup poll indicates a shifting landscape in Americans’ perceptions of economic systems, with favorable views of capitalism reaching a new low of 54%. This marks a significant six-point drop from 60% in 2021 and a departure from the generally stable positive ratings seen in previous years.
