Syracuse, N.Y. - A house on Syracuse’s North Side was damaged by a fire Monday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to 1107 Park St. at approximately 3:12 p.m. they found smoke coming from the attic and the walls of the 2 1/2-story home, according to Syracuse Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Erik Caster.

Firefighters found the fire in the walls in the basement and attic, he said.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to put the fire out. The house sustained smoke and water damage to all floors, he said.

The home was empty when the fire started and no injuries were reported, Caster said. Investigators are working to determine the cause.
