The Rockies are having a season to forget.

Hunter Goodman is having one to remember.

The Rockies' catcher and All-Star Game representative, Goodman on Monday was named National League player of the week, the first weekly award of his career. He joined Warming Bernabel as Rockies players to win the award this season.

Goodman, 25, hit .476 (10-for-21) with three home runs, 10 RBI, two doubles, a walk, four runs scored, a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage in five games.

A Tennessee, native, Goodman tied for the MLB lead in slugging and ranked third in RBI. HIs batting average ranked fifth during the time, while only four players had more than his 21 total bases. He was the first Rockies player with at least nine RBI in a three-game span since Ryan McMahon had 10 RBI
