Where good news shines
Colorado's volleyball team is 6-0 for the first time since 2017.
The Buffs won a road match at UC Irvine in five sets (25-15, 19-25, 16-25, 25-13, 15-9) at the Bren Events Center in the Anteater Classic on Saturday to stay unbeaten.
Sydney Jordan had a career-high five aces. Rian Finley had a career-high 52 assists. Ana Burilović led all players with 20 kills.
“I’m happy to get the win. I knew Irvine was going to be a tough test, especially on its home floor,” Buffs coach Jesse Mahoney said.
Colorado hosts its home opener against Arkansas at the Buff Invitational at CU Events Center at 6 p.m. Friday (ESPN+).
