CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) -- A judge just ruled in favor of the FOX 8 I-Team and ordered the city of Cleveland Heights to hand over video of an incident involving the mayor's wife. The ruling was made just a few days before voters decide if the mayor should be thrown out of office.
A judge with the Ohio Court of Claims ruled the city of Cleveland Heights must release that Dec. 6 police body camera video. The video shows an encounter at city hall between the mayor's wife and a police officer. The city has tried to keep the police video a secret. The I-Team filed a complaint with the Ohio Court of Claims in June. On Sept. 4, the judge ruled the city would have 30 days to release the video. So far, city officials have not yet produced it.
