MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A judge declared that the Montgomery County’s State’s Attorney’s office will get more time to prove that a woman facing murder charges in the 11-year-old disappearance of her two children is competent to stand trial .

The hearing to determine Catherine Hoggle’s competency was postponed from Monday to Dec. 8 and 9. Although Hoggle is still in custody , she has a bond hearing scheduled for Sept. 30.

Hoggle faces two counts of murder over the 2014 disappearance of her children, 3-year-old Sarah and 2-year-old Jacob. However, she was deemed incompetent in 2015, and that status hasn’t been overturned since.

On Sunday, the children’s father, Troy Turner, held a vigil in their honor. He said after 11 years, the pain of their loss is still fresh.
