SHREVEPORT, La. -- A video circulating on social media has led to the arrest of a woman shown throwing a handgun from the Cross Lake Bridge into the lake.

When Shreveport police were made aware of the video, the department's Cross Lake patrol unit began looking for the gun. They were aided in the search by a man named Bryce, a social media treasure hunter from Outdoors Weekly, who had seen the video online and drove with his team more than 13 hours to Shreveport to help.

Using tactical magnet fishing equipment, the Outdoors Weekly team found the gun while officers were on scene.

Investigators identified the woman in the video as Alexis Mullone. They also learned the firearm had been reported stolen out of Fort Worth, Texas.
