BROOK PARK, Ohio (WJW) - Some local leaders claim a Cleveland Browns dome near Hopkins Airport would cause massive traffic jams for travelers, so we checked on airport traffic around game time on Sunday.

We found the airport virtually empty.

An hour before the Browns home opener, we found a big crowd filling the current stadium on the lakefront.

But, an hour before game time, we found security lines empty, ticket counters empty and baggage claim nearly empty.

At times, not one car waited at the light for the main entrance into the airport.

The Browns plan to build a dome to begin play in 2029 practically in the shadow of Hopkins Airport.

In July, Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne predicted Browns games would lead people to miss flights.
