The No. 1 spot in Class A changed hands again this week in the USA TODAY Network Indiana high school football poll.
Defending state champion Providence (2-1) moved back to No. 1 after previous No. 1 South Putnam fell four spots following Friday’s 31-30 double overtime loss to Edgewood . The No. 1 teams in the other five classes — Brownsburg in 6A, New Palestine in 5A, Bishop Chatard in 4A, Evansville Memorial in 3A and Adams Central in 2A — stayed on top this week.
