Red Deer service clubs are joining forces once again to help out local organizations.

Three Rotary Clubs, as well as the Optimist and Kinsmen Clubs, are teaming up for their

fourth annual Service Club Day. The campaign kicked off with a proclamation by Red Deer Mayor Ken Johnston on Monday.

Each service club selected a non-profit group that will receive $2,000 and up to 15 volunteers to assist in a

project of their choice.

The Optimist Club will support Fairview Elementary School with painting the Buddy Bench, general

upkeep tasks, and one on one reading assessments with kids.

The Kinsmen Club will purchase new storage bins for Dress For Success and help repacking clothing for

the fall season on Saturday.
