WASHINGTON (Gray DC) -Jury selection begins Monday in the trial of 59-year-old Ryan Routh.

It’s been almost a year since he allegedly staked out the golf course with the intent of killing our now-President.

Routh is choosing to represent himself. He will stand trial in Fort Pierce Florida under Judge Aileen Cannon.

He faces five charges, including attempted assassination on a major presidential candidate, a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with no serial number, and assaulting a federal officer.

Here’s what we can expect to see;

Eyewitness testimony from those who allegedly saw Routh trying to flee the scene,

Testimony from those who sold him the rifle, and evidence of Routh’s so-called confession letter.

If convicted, Routh could face life in prison.
