The Cannabis Control Commission’s recently approved draft rules for pot cafes in the Bay State apparently still need some work, if the testimony they received Monday is any indication.
Commissioners sat through about four hours of public comment on their long-awaited plan to allow adults to use marijuana at licensed public establishments on Monday, and most commenters seemed to think the rules were not quite ready to spark up yet.
“What the drafters of the 2016 ballot initiative and the voters of the commonwealth asked for was simple, commonsense cannabis regulations. But when it comes to social consumption, this commission has not yet fully embraced their duty to deliver that,” Ethan Vogt, founder of Home Grown Boston, told commissioners.
