Members of the community, along with a broad mix of staff and students at Walters State Community College, gathered in the R. Jack Fishman Library at the Morristown Campus to greet incoming president Dr. Saul Reyes and his wife Sharon.
Monday afternoon. Reyes greeted each of the dozens of people who stood in line to meet him, while new colleagues waited patiently to welcome him face to face.
“It’s just wonderful to be here,” Dr. Reyes said. “Not just today, even the last few days as we’ve run into people associated with the college and the community. Everybody’s just so warm, so excited. And the great turnout today, not just from campus but from the community—it’s been fantastic.”
As emphasized in his public interview this summer, Reyes underscored a student-first approach.
