ARLINGTON, Texas – Christian Yelich’s five-game absence may have caused some consternation among observers, but the Milwaukee Brewers designated hitter says he was never all that concerned about this latest flare-up in his lower back.

“I was not worried for a second about it,” Yelich said Sept. 8 before taking on the Texas Rangers in his first game in seven days.

Yelich was scratched from the Brewers’ lineup Sept. 3 following the club’s first off day in nearly three weeks and hadn’t suited up since.
