Marvel gives Doctor Strange a fresh start with a new costume and a new role after his time as Asgard's head sorcerer and healer comes to an end. Doctor Strange was forced to take up a drastically different duty after Doctor Doom stole his Sorcerer Supreme title . Despite finding himself betrayed and weakened, Stephen made a name for himself as "Doctor Strange of Asgard" .

Throughout the decades, Doctor Strange has worn countless variations of his iconic costume, from ornate mystical robes to modernized armor-like outfits, always anchored by the Cloak of Levitation and the Eye of Agamotto. His look has reflected many different roles. Besides Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange has also been a Defender , and Avenger, and a wanderer.
