Portland may be one of the cities President Donald Trump plans to send National Guard troops to as part of his recent crime clean-up agenda, he said in a statement Sept. 5.
Since beginning his second term as president, Trump has deployed the National Guard to two major U.S. cities. Troops arrived in Los Angeles in June and in Washington, D.C., in August .
Trump has mentioned plans to send troops to other cities such as Chicago , New Orleans and Baltimore , and is now considering adding Portland to his list.
"Portland is unbelievable, what's going on in Portland," Trump said in a news conference . "It's like living in hell."
