SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after officials say they believe he was shot by a 21-year-old suspect who has now been arrested.
Around 7:13 p.m. Monday night, Bexar County deputies were called to the 6700 block of Calle Fincias for a shooting in progress. When they arrived, they found a man in his early 20s with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was pronounced dead at 7:43 p.m. despite lifesaving efforts.
Officials say that the suspect, later identified as Mason Ray Rodriguez, and two other people arrived to where the victim was located. An argument then took place followed by multiple gunshots heard by witnesses. Rodriguez and the two other people allegedly fled the scene before officials arrived.
Investigators were able to identify Rodriguez as the possible shooter and arrested him
