Police are hunting for an attacker who shot two people - leaving one person dead in south London.
The Met Police were called to reports of a shooting shortly before 9pm on New Park Road on Monday. Medics rushed to nearby Forster Road and treated two men, aged 20 and 27, for gunshot wounds before taking them to hospital.
Despite their best efforts, the 27-year-old died in the early hours of this morning. The Met Police confirmed his family are being supported by specialist officers. The force added the 20-year-old has been hospitalised with non-life threatening injuries.
Locals flocked to community networking site, Nextdoor, after hearing "six gunshots". One person wrote: "I heard the screaming, it was all too real. I can't quite see the length of the road but I just knew it wasn't good.
