Once again, Hollywood shifts its focus from summer blockbusters to the offerings of awards season. The Toronto International Film Festival serves as a venue where influential figures gather to showcase their work. Marking its 50th anniversary, the festival is attracting travelers from around the globe from September 4 – 14.

While women directors were underrepresented this summer, the fall season is bringing a change in that trend.
