PORTLAND, Ore. — The triple homicide in the Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood on Saturday was the tragic aftermath of a 22-year-old male who is believed to have shot his mother and 10-year-old sister before turning the gun on himself, according to the Portland Police Department (PPD).

While the identities of the family will not be released until the completion of autopsies by the Medical examiner, neighbors have expressed shock and sorrow at the event which unfolded late Saturday afternoon when the PPD’s East Precinct received a report of a suicide at a home in the 7000 block of Southeast 64 th Avenue.

They found all three deceased from gunshot wounds on their arrival at the property.
