Oakland County will review an estimated $28.3 million for 2026 in road funding on Wednesday.
The county road commission received federal funding on a project-by-project basis. This year, the road commission received $28.2 million.
Wednesday’s meeting will include a review of projects scheduled for 2026 across Oakland County. In addition, committee members will review and update the committee’s bylaws and procedures.
The committee is responsible for deciding how federal road funds are distributed in Oakland County. Committee members include road commission officials; representatives of all the county’s 62 communities as well as officials from the Michigan Department of Transportation, SMART, and Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG).
