DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - The woman who was allegedly shot and killed by a 77-year-old man has been identified.

According to the Warren County Coroner’s Office, the victim has been identified as 79-year-old Emilia Vinokur.

The shooting happened Sunday afternoon when the suspect, Gerald Olin Finley, brought Vinokur to Deerfield Township Fire Station 57, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said.

First responders tried to save the victim’s life, but she was pronounced dead at the station, the sheriff’s office explained.

Finley was arrested Sunday on murder and felonious assault charges.

On Monday, the 77-year-old had his first court appearance.
