The Detroit Tigers have an important offseason coming up.

The looming free agency of Tarik Skubal may force the organization to back off spending in this season to save up money for an extension with their ace and Cy Young winner.

They could spend, though, and Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter believes Detroit will make one of the biggest splashes of the offseason.

In Reuter's 2026 opening day lineup predictions, Detroit has a new third baseman by the name of Eugenio Suarez. Suarez is predicted to join Detroit's lineup after the prediction of Gleyber Torres heading to San Diego in the offseason.

Suarez was acquired by the Seattle Mariners at this year's MLB trade deadline, and he's been rather disappointing since being acquired. He batted just .186 with a .661 OPS in his first month
