OROVILLE, Calif. - Nighttime work is set to begin on Oro Dam Boulevard East as a contractor for PG&E aims to restore sidewalks and repave sections of the road.

The need for repairs arose after PG&E conducted excavations for a planned gas transmission pipe safety test.

Starting on Sunday night, crews will work on concrete repairs along Oro Dam Boulevard East, stretching between Feather River Boulevard and Lincoln Boulevard.

Officials say that the road repaving is scheduled to commence later and is expected to conclude next week.

The work will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., necessitating lane closures along the outside westbound lane of Oro Dam Boulevard East. Nighttime scheduling for the work aims to minimize traffic disruptions caused due to the project.
