This year marks 45 years since a 22-year-old man from Canada set out on a journey from Newfoundland and Labrador that would change Canada forever.

Continuing in the tradition of honouring Fox’s memory, and raising funds to support cancer research, Terry Fox runs are scheduled to take place in Cornwall and Alexandria on Sept. 14.

In Cornwall, registration will start at 7 a.m., with the run or walk running from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. There is a five-kilometre option, and a 10-kilometre option. Both routes start in Lamoureux Park, with the 10-kilometre cohort turning around at 1900 Second St. W., at the Seaway Valley soccer fields. Additionally, participants can walk around Lamoureux Park.
