ALLEN PARK --Isaac TeSlaa was limited to only three offensive snaps in the season opener.

But the rookie wide receiver continued to do what he’s been doing since training camp started: make plays and take advantage of every single chance.

TeSlaa saw one target late in the fourth quarter with the Detroit Lions trailing 27-6. The game was well out of reach, but TeSlaa already has a strong entry for the NFL’s catch of the year.

Lions quarterback Jared Goff tossed one into the back corner of the end zone. And TeSlaa timed the perfectly-placed ball, fully extended his right hand in the air, palmed it into control and managed to tap two heels down for his first-career score. Sure, it didn’t change the outcome of the game, but it was another firm reminder that the Lions have another playmaker
