Remembering Flor Morales, a mother to the masses (Viewpoint)

(Editor’s note: In his time leading Home City Development, Thomas Kegelman grew to be friends with the late Flor Morales, a tenant who lived in the same apartment for 50 years. In this essay, he and others recognize Morales and the many people who, even with meager resources, give so much to the community. Morales and her late husband, Carlos, and cared for roughly 200 foster children, adopting three of them. She was in her 80s when she cared for her last child.)
