More than a decade after the former Rogell Golf Course closed on the city’s west side, a development team has been named to transform a portion of the property into hundreds of affordable housing units alongside a new regional park.

Detroit Economic Growth Corporation said Tuesday that Detroit Blight Busters and Ohio-based Wallick Communities have been selected for an $88 million project that will bring 304 affordable housing units to nearly 19 acres at 22333 W. Seven Mile.
