There's a newborn okapi at the San Diego Zoo.
The zoo says the female calf was born Sept. 2 and it's the first born there since 2021.
Okapis are part of the giraffe family and are considered endangered.
Officials at the zoo say Okapi newborns can stand within 30 minutes of birth and nurse within an hour.
In the wild, they live in tropical rainforest in Central Africa.
