A car plowed into a house in St. George on Monday, officials said, but there were no injuries, and St. George Fire Department firefighters quickly put out a small fire sparked by the crash, officials said.
The crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. on Stones River Avenue. People inside the house were able to get out safely, said Meg Kling, fire department spokesperson. The driver was safely removed from their car by first responders and was uninjured, Kling said. A small stove fire, likely sparked by the vehicle rupturing gas or electric lines, was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
The quick-thinking homeowner had turned off the electricity and gas, before getting out, Kling said.
