The Lake Superior State University (LSSU) hockey team will be hanging up their skates this Sunday and putting on their running shoes to take part in the 45th Annual Terry Fox Run in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

The event is an annual non-competitive charity event held around the world to raise money for cancer research in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope.

This run is special for the hockey team.

"We did some leadership development work with Colonel Matt Smith. His son, Peyton, lost the battle to pediatric cancer, and so Air Peyton started that process. It built up from there. We wanted a way to support them. They are doing a run for Air Peyton out east, but we couldn't make it out there with the team, so we joined up for the Terry Fox Run in
