A mob attacked a migrant driver's car at a retail park in what police are investigating as a racially motivated hate crime.

Footage of the incident - which shows a group with their faces covered - has been widely shared on social media.

The gang can be seen attacking cars at Connswater Retail Park in Belfast during a protest at around 7pm on Monday evening, September 8, over the arrest of a man.

A man in a navy vehicle was surrounded by a group, who appeared to throw items at the car and driver.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland ( PSNI) have since confirmed the driver of a second car was confronted by the group.

No arrests were made and police have said both incidents are being treated as
