HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A 22-year-old woman was arrested after police say she was chasing people at a Hanford shopping center with a knife on Sunday.

Officers say on Sunday, Sep. 7, they responded to the shopping center at the 1000 block of S. 12th Avenue following a report of a fight, with one person having a knife.

Police say they identified the suspect as 22-year-old Jessica Ramirez from Hanford after security video showed her taking a knife from a vehicle and chasing two victims with it. The two victims were able to escape uninjured.

On Monday, Sep. 8, officers located Ramirez at a home in Hanford and arrested her. She was booked into Kings County Jail and is being accused of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
