The Orleans Parish Coroner is investigating partial human remains found inside an alligator.
Officials say they made this discovery on Monday, after alligator traps were set by hunters in Lacombe on Sept. 6. Advertisement
Officials say the bones appear to be human upper remains. The coroner's office is working to determine whether the remains belong to 12-year-old Bryan Vasquez. The boy was found dead, apparently killed by an alligator in a New Orleans East lagoon.
The investigation is underway.
