NORMAN — OU’s special teams were largely a disaster versus Michigan last Saturday night.

The slew of mistakes started in the second quarter when Sammy Omosigho roughed U-M’s punter, extending the Wolverines’ drive after the OU defense had forced a three-and-out.

Then, in the third quarter, a muffed punt by Isaiah Sategna was recovered by Michigan and led to a Wolverines field goal. After that, Tory Blaylock muffed the ensuing kickoff and was fortunate to recover it. Finally, in the fourth quarter, Tate Sandell missed a 42-yard field goal.

OU still won despite the miscues, but knows it has to be better in the third phase when it takes on Temple at 11 a.m. Saturday in Philadelphia.
