The man accused of helping rapper YNW Melly carry out a double murder in Miramar back in 2018 accepted a plea deal the day before his own murder trial was set to begin.

Cortlen Henry faced two first-degree murder and two accessory after the fact charges tied to the October 2018 killings.

Henry was in court Tuesday afternoon to accept the deal from the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, in which he pleaded no contest to the accessory after the fact charges and prosecutors dropped the murder charges.

Under the deal, the judge adjudicated him guilty of the accessory charges and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by six years of probation, with credit for time served.
