A man faces capital murder charges in connection with an April homicide in Montgomery, police said.

Earl Sadiki Wilson, 40, is charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Devoris Gray, 39, said Lt. Tina McGriff, spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department.

Wilson was arrested Sept. 8. He could not be reached for comment and court records show he doesn't have an attorney. He was placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

On April 5, at about 9:40 a.m., police went to the area of Mose Harris Street in reference to a person shot, she said. They found Gray who was pronounced dead at the scene, McGriff said.

No other information about the case was immediately released by police. More: Details emerge in slaying of retired Auburn University professor
