An 89-year-old woman died Sunday after pulling out in front of oncoming traffic on a Perry County highway, police said.
Snyder County resident Helen Dressler made an “improper entrance” at about 11:47 a.m. from a Sunoco gas station onto Routes 11/15 , near the 1100 block of Susquehanna Trail in Liverpool, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police said a southbound BMW crashed into Dressler’s Chevrolet Cruze as she crossed in front of oncoming traffic.
Dressler was airlifted to the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The Dauphin County Coroner’s Office said her death was ruled accidental from multiple traumatic injuries.
Police said the BMW driver was taken to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Hospital with moderate injuries.
