EXETER – Motorists driving by 58 Thames Rd. W. on Thursday, Sept. 4, may have been surprised to see a car wedged sideways into the front window of a home. Article content

It wasn’t an accident, and nobody was hurt. Instead, it was a scenario created by South Huron’s fire department for its regular Thursday night training exercises. In the scenario, a car had crashed through the front window of a home, trapping the driver in the vehicle and pinning a resident of the home. In this case, the trapped individuals were represented by dummies, which weighed 195 pounds each. Article content
